Additional Volunteer, anyone? Car Park (0930hrs-1030hrs)
For normal kitchen duty, i.e. no for the MOBBs Tournament, Linda (Kitchen Co-Ordinator) will be at the club from 0900hrs. Those on car park duty run from 0915 through 1100hrs, the Kitchen is manned from 0915-1430hrs and the BBQ from 1100hrs-1430hrs but normally finishes around 1pm.
The kitchen is a major source of income for the mini and junior section of the club as the section receives all the profits from Sundays. This allows the club to provide the kit (balls, tackle bags, trophies etc.) which the players depend on, and we are fortunate enough to have a complete new set of kit this season. The collective income from membership fees does not cover the cost the sections contribution to the grounds and building. The club and section is reliant on the Kitchen income and other fund raising activities for all the kit your kids are so lucky to have.
The club continues to try to maximise the funds available for kit by using ‘volunteers’ in the kitchen rather than a catering company, to ensure a level of fairness each age group is asked to man the kitchen and also organise the car park. This requires parents to give up a few hours a season to help.
