Success for the Sevens first game.
Final Score: 1-2

Knights in shining armour.

Warriors win the battle.

Tornados create a storm.

An amazing turnout of 21 boys went to Bletchley this Sunday, allowing Towcestrians to put 3 teams forward to play the Blues.

The knights started the day, with confidence and eagerness to put their skills to the test in their first ever competitive match. It was Bletchley though who were quick to capitalise and sneaked in a few early tries. But the Knights didn’t let this deter them and fought back. With tries coming from Ned, Matthew W, Ollie C, Noah and Tom H (we think??? Sorry if incorrect – tell me and ill amend it) The final score ended for the first game, 6-7 to the KNIGHTS.

Next up were the Warriors, ready to continue the success from the previous game, it didn’t take long before Matthew D got a try, followed closely by 6 more coming from Ben E, Ellis, Lucas, Jack and Thomas P and again Matthew D, equally matched was the Warriors tagging, as they only conceded 2 tries, final score 2-7.

The final game saw the Tornados who we’re mostly made up with the boys who we’re new to rugby this season. The boys have been training hard, and each week improving and learning new skills, and this showed as they tagged and tried hard to break through Bletchley’s line, finally being rewarded with an amazing run from Thomas Foote, to score the Tornados only try. An excellent effort from all the players, with the result perhaps not representing how much effort they put in, 7-1.

Congratulations to all the boys who played in the amazing October heat! You made everyone very proud, and you should all be very proud of yourselves.

Well done! We will see some of you at the Coalville festival, otherwise we shall see you back for training on the 16th Oct.
