East Mids Cup - St.Neots (A) - Won 65-5

An excellent start for the Towcester u13's squad in their first competitive cup game.

The game started nervously for both sides with a few unforced errors making the first 10 minutes quite scrappy, however Towcester then managed to put a few phases of possession together that gave them the platform to move the ball wide to Josh Goodall who made a great break to score under the posts. Then from the restart Josh claimed the ball again and ran it back very strongly down the rights touchline and once again scored under the posts.

Towcester then grew noticeable in confidence and played very well for the rest of the match scoring another nine tries and conceding one near to the end of the game after a good forward drive by St.Neots. The Towcester tries were scored by Josh Goodall (4), Diggery Slee (3), Matt Chalcraft (2), Solly Boyd and Charlie Smith. Solly Boyd kicked 5 conversions.

A good performance by all of the squad, with some very entertaining passages of play that were great to watch.
