Welcome to Towcestrians Rugby Club (Mini & Juniors)

A message from our Chairman…

Welcome all players and parents to Towcestrians RFC Mini & Junior Section and to the 20010/2011 Season.

Our Mini & Junior Section caters for young players from the ages of 6 up to 17, organised into year groups with some year groups having more than one team. Both girls and boys are welcome and train & play together until U12s level (inclusive). All groups are looked after by qualified coaches and all sessions are geared towards enjoyment and the development of young players to their potential.

Age groups fall into categories of Rugby as prescribed in the RFU continuum:

Under 6 to under 8 Mini tag rugby (non contact) 7 a side
Under 9 & Under 10 Full Contact 9 a side
Under 11 Full Contact 12 a side
Under 12 Full Contact 13 a side
Under 13 - Under 17 years Full Contact 15 a-side

Coaching sessions are held on Sunday mornings (10am - 12 noon) with games arranged throughout the year according to the structured season.

The section continues to thrive by means of its volunteers. We benefit from some extremely committed people who help to keep things running throughout the season, but we are always in need of additional support. If you would like to help out and can spare a little time each week I would be pleased to hear from you, the reward does come in seeing a thriving club with 300+ children enjoying their rugby both on and off the pitch
